Santiago Reggi Mill secured first place in the Al Ain Chess and Mind Games Club Championship, held as part of the Al Ain International Chess Festival. The event took place on January 10 and 11 at the club's premises in Al Ain city. Yunes Al-Khamiri finished second, while Ameer Muhammad Bashara claimed third place. The tournament featured wide participation from players of various nationalities and was conducted in the rapid chess format over seven rounds, with a time control of 10 minutes per game plus a 3-second increment per move. Sultan Abdullah Al-Zahiri, Chairman of the Youth Council of the Al Ain Chess and Mind Games Club, affirmed that the rapid chess championship is a significant milestone in the schedule of the Al Ain International Chess Festival, contributing to the promotion of community sportsmanship and the reinforcement of fair competition values. In his press statements, he stated: "The club is committed to providing a competitive professional environment that brings together players from different nationalities and opens the door for talents to develop their technical skills."
